Whether you have been loving the Ocean's films for years or it is a completely new concept to you, we've got everything you need to know right here about the spin-off due to be released, Ocean's 8.
Ocean's 8 Receives the Feminine Touch
With the Ocean's trilogy (Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve and Ocean's Thirteen) famously centered around a male cast, the most recent addition is set to move with the times.
Ocean's 8 follows a group of wonderfully wicked crooks as they attempt to pull of the heist of the century. With Debbie Ocean (estranged sister of Danny Ocean) being released from prison, she longs for a rush of adrenaline, and finds herself assembling a team of like-minded women as they plan to steal a necklace worth in excess of $150 million from the world famous Met Gala.

The Spin-Off Ocean's Film Features a Star Studded Cast
With Sandra Bullock (Debbie Ocean), Cate Blanchett (Lou), Anne Hathaway (Daphne Kluger), Helena Bonham Carter (Rose), Mindy Kaling (Amita), Sarah Paulson (Tammy), Awkwafina (Constance) and Rihanna (Nine Ball) all taking lead roles in the newest Ocean's film, there is very little doubt the acting will be anything less than incredible.
With the director of Tom Hanks' hit, Big, Gary Ross taking on the task of redefining the Ocean's direction as a franchise and Olivia Milch helping along with the writing of the production, it is clear why this film has been so highly anticipated.
When Will Ocean's 8 Be Released?
With so much build up surrounding the film, it could be argued that Ocean's 8 may prove to be even more successful than the other films in the franchise, and we are extremely excited about the female dominated reboot.
If you're looking forward to this Ocean's addition like us at Retro Styler, then you'll be happy to know that Ocean's 8 is set to hit our screens on the 18th June here in the UK.
What Can We Expect From Girl Power Ocean's 8?
Reportedly combining both fashion and humour, the awesome cast create a "fun-flick", centered around the planning and execution of the heist. Although some critics have stated that this adaptation does not live up to George Clooney's original offering (in Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen), maybe we should start taking reboots and sequels with a pinch of salt.
Okay, so we get it, this may not be the original, but why shouldn't we embrace this modern adaptation on a retro classic?!
What Do You Think About Ocean's 8 Release?
As always at Retro Styler, we love to hear your views on all the gossip we discuss here on our blog. So, what are your thoughts surrounding the predominately female cast? Do you think that the Ocean's films should have been left to rest in all their George Clooney "glory"? Or maybe you think the critics should chill out a bit and just accept this adaptation for what it is?
