After a lot of careful thought and consideration, we've created a shortlist of our favourite Disney movies of all time! Naturally we have been looking at movies we would categorise as being 'retro', and we hope you'll agree somewhat with our selection! Would you make any changes to this line-up of Disney classics? Let us know your thoughts, your musings, your wise opinions or just full on disagreements in the comments section!
The Lion King

The Lion King is quite possibly the best Disney movie of all time. Chock-full of beautiful, memorable and original songs like "Hakuna Matata" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight?" this is a classic Disney flick that everyone loves. It’s based on Hamlet, too. Surprising!
The Little Mermaid

The Little Mermaid tells the tale about a fierce independent woman – OK, she’s a mermaid, but the sentiment is the same and she longs to be a landlubber woman. Ariel is sick of her dad bossing her around and gets into all sorts of trouble in her quest to live over the sea. Again, more fantastic music, we’d expect nothing less from Disney.
Beauty and the Beast

This is one of Disney’s most romantic stories, and Belle is one of their most progressive female protagonists. The storyline is a bit strange if you begin to think about it too much, but there’s no need for that. Simply enjoy the memorable characters and songs and revel in the glory of this timeless classic.
Aladdin

The Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas is easily one of the best Disney movies ever created, it is delightfully creepy and exactly the sort of thing that fans of Tim Burton have come to love and expect. This film is about Halloween and has Christmas in the title, so it’s perfect for viewing all year round!
