Classic Peter Rabbit Illustration

Peter Rabbit first appeared in 1902 in Beatrix Potter's book titled 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' and has been a household name ever since. The mischievous Rabbit and his lovable, charming friends have delighted generations of Beatrix Potter fans in books, TV series and a Peter Rabbit Movie in 2018. Peter Rabbit has a kind heart despite his often impulsive and cheeky behavior and is instantly recognisable by the blue button-up coat he wears, and the fact that he's a talking Rabbit!

Eat Your Greens!

Peter Rabbit Eating Carrots

Peter Rabbit loves nothing more than eating vegetables, in particular vegetables grown by Mr. McGregor in his garden!

Mrs. McGregor put Peter Rabbit's father in a pie, but that didn't stop Peter venturing into the garden in both 'The Tale of Peter Rabbit' and 'The Tale of Benjamin Bunny'!

  • Mrs Tiggywinkle

  • Mrs tiggywinkle is my favourite character. So caring and kind and reminds me of my mum 💕

  • My favourite character has to be Jemima Puddle-Duck if I had to pick love that she’s such a silly but friendly duck. The fact that her outfit was just so adorable blue poke bonnet and a pink shawl reminded of old photos of family members my Nana would show us. My Nan would read the story to us and as she had a collie herself it was if he was the rescuer of Jemima Puddle-Duck before her dreaded fate.

    Sarah Courtney
  • I love most of the characters, Mrs Tiggiwinkle is a lovely character of mine because she is so friendly but makes me laugh because of all the sharp spikes on her back.
My favourite story from the world of Beatrix Potter is The Tailor of Gloucester, it’s so lovely and sweet helping a poor tailor with his waistcoat for the Mayor for his wedding. It’s a great story and I love all the mice and Simkins the cat he is also very cute. It makes a great Christmas movie to show you shouldn’t be mean to others because of something small because it can affect them in a big way, if the tailor didn’t finish the waistcoat who know what would have happened, he was unwell too so it was nice that the mice understood to help him because he helped them out of the teacup. Lovely story.

    Deborah Marshall-Osborne

    Catherine Thomas
  • Jemima Puddleduck has to be my favourite. I feel so sorry for her as she just wanted her eggs and everyone else wanted them too. She reminds me of a protective mother. And the story is like Little Red Riding Hood which is another favourite of mine.

    Joanna Kasznicki
  • Tom Kitten is my favourite. I used to borrow huge stacks of Beatrix Potter books from the library when I first started to read, and I always liked tubby little Tom Kitten the most.

  • Ah definitely Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail as I have three daughters. They each have their respective counterpart bunny cuddly toy and their personalities seem to match those of the rabbits!

  • Mrs Tiggywinkle

    Shirley McGovern
  • Tom Kitten, I remember my mum reading the stories to me as a child and still have the books which I read to my daughter. I grew up to be a cat lover.
